Synopsis
In the village of Megendi, obstetrics is changing. With it, the question of women's self-determination. Between tradition and modernity, patriarchal structures and the complex power of female companionship, the mother Hulu and the midwives Endal, Weläla and Sirkalem struggle with their relationship to themselves, to each other, and to all those who want to decide for them.
