Synopsis
For a whole year the camera accompanies the sculptor Not Vital, both at work and in his private moments. As an artist he is seeking to discover his own identity, the animal in man, and the lure of far-away places. In the course of a journey from Tuscany, through the Engadine and on to New York the portrait that emerges is one that is rich in detail, entertaining, with plenty of humour and no lack of irony.
