Biography

I have been encountering film on stage for many years as a presenter while hosting discussions with filmmakers and the audience. My degree in German and Jewish Studies, together with my experience with the production of film and music festivals, are a useful combination that allows me to dedicate myself to new topics and projects with a great deal of curiosity.

I am interested in thought-provoking films that have a lasting effect on me. These include for me for example ‘The Watermelon Woman’ by Cheryl Dunye and experimental films by Agnès Varda and Chantal Akerman. The series ‘Heimat 2’ by Edgar Reitz has, in the truest sense of the word, never lost its appeal. I am equally fascinated by the work of Wim Wenders.
