Biography

I am particularly passionate about Eastern European film, the diversity of which I explored intensively during my studies of Slavic and media studies. I am particularly impressed by documentary film as a powerful medium that can actively intervene in social processes and create important forms of discourse in public life. For me, documentary films are therefore much more than just depictions of events – I see them as valuable social interventions that use creative film aesthetics to tell complex stories and initiate important debates.

The filmmaker Želimir Žilnik, among others, has influenced me in this respect, and his work always fascinates me and makes me think. This conviction motivates me to work on projects that are both visually captivating and socially relevant and that have the potential to broaden perspectives and initiate change.
